Eta Upsilon Zeta Chapter
What We Do
For over 50 years, the Eta Upsilon Zeta Chapter has been a shining light in the Summit City, delivering powerful programs, life-changing workshops, generous charitable contributions, and scholarships that open doors for future leaders. Every initiative we launch is rooted in our unwavering commitment to Scholarship, Service, Sisterhood, and the legacy of Finer Womanhood.
Today, Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated champions "The Extraordinary Power of S.H.E." — advancing Social, Health, and Economic Justice worldwide. Locally, our chapter proudly aligns with this mission, focusing on key areas that make a difference right here at home:
Championing Mental Health Awareness
Advocating for Black Maternal Health and Fighting Infant Mortality
Driving Political Awareness through Voter Education and Registration
Fueling the Economic Empowerment of Women and Women-Led Enterprises
Eta Upsilon Zeta is more than a chapter — we are a movement. Together, we are shaping a stronger, healthier, and more empowered community for generations to come.

Why Zeta?
“Ms. Mary Simpson first told me about Zeta when I was in first grade. She saw something in me, and she told me I was a "smart girl." I was awarded a scholarship from Eta Upsilon Zeta chapter when I graduated high school. When I arrived on Fisk University's campus, I knew Zeta was the sisterhood for me! I was initiated into the Kappa Gamma Chapter, in the fall of 2007. So many women I grew up admiring in my community are Zetas, including Rosalind Walker-Lewis, Renetta Williams and Lititia Hatcher-Roque. My cousin, Danielle Smith-Jernigan, is also a Zeta, and we became members on the same day, 15 years apart. It was meant to be! Zetas are determined. Zetas are leaders. Zetas are Finer Women! While Zeta was not the first sorority established, we laid the blueprint for others to follow by garnering many firsts in our over a century-long history!”
